一棵香蕉树被暴风雨拔起，又被山洪冲到岸边。乌龟发现了，便喊来猴子帮忙把树扛回去。猴子看到香蕉，很想吃，就向乌龟提出分树，乌龟劝猴子等树长大了再分。猴子不肯，用斧头把树砍成两半，自己把有香蕉的那段扛走了。乌龟只好将带树根的那段搬回去种起来，经过它的精心管理，不久树根重新长出了树干，并结了满满一树香蕉。 猴子种的是带香蕉的那段树，由于没有根，慢慢地枯死了，猴子看看乌龟的满树香蕉，再看看自己的枯树，便一脚把枯树踢倒，垂头丧气的坐在地上。。这部人偶剧是以明治时期的大分县竹田市为背景，以一个归乡的少年-荣二为主视角，见证了盲人少女多纪理与居住于山中湖里的巨大怪兽天乃狭雾之间的羁绊。。Susan Miller works behind the girdle counter in a department store and dreams about the beautiful clothes and glamour she can never hope to have.
