故事发生在2020年的日本，一宗名为“复仇法”的法律的颁布，引领着日本人民步入了新的法律时代。复仇法规定，所有想要为死者复仇的人，他们将会和凶手一起被送往位于太平洋中的孤岛蛇岩岛上，在那里，复仇者们将被给予精良的武器和定位装置，在接下来的18小时内，无论发生了怎样的暴力流血事件都将不被政府追责，但如果最终复仇者不能杀死凶手，那么凶手将会被无罪释放。 由于该项法律实在太过于暴力和荒谬，因而遭到了大批民众的反对，其中就有身为高中教师的高桥康之（水野胜 饰），然而讽刺的是，高桥康之的妻子泉（高桥马莉润 饰）遭人袭击不幸遇害，面对残酷的现实，愤怒绝望的高桥康之决定利用复仇法，替妻子报仇。。Set in 1895, the film follows friends Ed and Frank who become brutal enemies in Oklahoma frontier territory when a rivalry develops over a woman who is set to inherit a prominent saloon. After a bounty hunter makes Ed disappear to a tortuous prison run by a sinister warden, he must learn the ways of an outlaw from a prison-mate to escape and exact his revenge.。Ellie returns to her high school as a teacher ten years after she was nearly killed in a series of brutal slayings on the cheerleader squad. When the attacks start again after her return, she must find the killer before they get to her.。
