本故事由真人真事改编，以偏远山区农村为背景，展现九十年代淳朴的民风和当地的一些习俗，及当时年轻人的爱情故事，当感情碰上现实，碰上来自父母的阻拦和种种原因，导致一对相爱的年轻人成为陌路人。 山村里贫穷人家年轻人王顺飞，在自己二十七岁生日那天，结识了弟弟王顺松的同学曹雅娟，两人迅速进入恋爱状态。 但曹雅娟的父母因为王顺飞家庭条件原因极力反对，最后以高额彩礼刁难王顺飞，王顺飞被逼无奈，出门闯荡挣钱，以期达到曹雅娟母亲的彩礼要求，迎娶曹雅娟进门，但在王顺飞出门打工期间，曹雅娟在母亲的劝说逼迫下嫁给她并不喜欢的水泥厂厂长的儿子，赵贵。 半年之后，王顺飞因母亲住院回家探望才得知曹雅娟已为人妇，王顺飞得知此事大受打击，精神颓废至极，迷失自我，每日浑浑噩噩，混吃等死，王顺松和王媛媛二人多次劝告王顺飞，让他振作起来，但王顺飞依旧我行我素，并不理会。 后逢家中小妹王媛媛班主任吴雨晴家访，正是吴雨晴的出现，才使得王顺飞重新振作起来面对生活。 三年之后，曹雅娟虽然嫁给富贵人家儿子赵贵，但是赵贵依然花天酒地，曹雅娟常常独守空房，生活并不幸福。 而王顺飞经过三年打拼，一扫家中贫穷旧貌，生活蒸蒸日上，与吴雨晴也是越走越近。。一个周末，摩尔先生独自在家和孩子们在一起，家里一片混乱。当他在巧克力工厂加班的时候，摩尔先生的孩子们和邻居的孩子们打了起来——这是一场关于糖果、家庭作业和最著名的马戏团狗的战斗。。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。
