郊外一座废弃的工厂内，一支摄制组正在拍摄一部粗糙简陋的僵尸片。导演日暮隆之不满女主角松本逢花的演技，因此暴跳如雷，大吼大叫。在工作人员晴美的建议下，剧组暂时停止拍摄。休息间隙，晴美向松本以及饰演僵尸的男演员神谷和明讲述了这座工厂在二战期间的恐怖旧事。就在此时，不祥的巨响突然传来，未过多久，一名工作人员变成僵尸突然出现，对其他剧组成员展开疯狂啃咬。演职员们四散而逃，而疯狂的导演却举起摄像机，开始了他梦寐以求的电影的拍摄。 30多分钟的血腥屠杀，令所有人始料未及的是，这还并不是这部恐怖电影的全部！。宫崎骏导演了其中第2、4、5、12、17和26集 あまりにも有名なコナン・ドイル作『シャーロック・ホームズ』シリーズが原作。1981年、イタリア国営放送ＲＡＩとの合作として製作がスタートした。 キャラクター全てを犬にするというユニークな設定で、原作のエピソードを取り入れながらも、スラップスティックなコメディとして楽しい作品に仕上がった。全26話中、６話（放映順とは異なる）を製作した時点でイタリア側の事情で製作が一時ストップし、84年に続く20話を製作、84年11月からテレビ朝日系列で放映された。 推理ドラマとしてより、コメディとしての色合いが強くなったためにクローズアップされたのが、モリアーティ教授。部下のトッドとスマイリーともども、ホームズの宿敵として毎回のように大活躍する（と言うか、毎回ホームズにしてやられる）。憎めない悪役として、大塚周夫...。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
