Juan, a prison officer, silently observes the visit every Sunday of Berta, mother of one of the imates. The day he finally approaches her, he surprises himself by pretending to be another visiting father and inventing a daughter inside the jail: Josefina. The need to fill the vacuum of their lives prompts Juan and Berta to continue meeting outside the reality around them.。本作の主人公は、植木屋で働き、いつも雑誌の切り抜きをポケットに入れて1人で妄想している変わり者・大島杜和（とわ）。彼はコンビニで働く上尾園子に恋をし、彼女と話すために店から木の葉で道を作っておびき寄せようとする。その道をたどってきた園子もまた、廃工場で暮らして奇妙な生き物の彫刻を作っている変わり者。劇中では、周りになじめない彼らが2人だけの世界を作り、仲を深めていくさまが描かれる。。
