Afte...。二ツ目の落語家、志ん魚は二十三歳の誕生日、志ん米はじめ、仲間の援助で初めてソープランドに行った。志ん魚についたエリザベスは初々しい彼に興味を抱き、二人はその日からデートを重ねた。彼女はペンギンブックスを読むようなインテリだ。数日後、そんな志ん魚に、女子高の落研に所属する女の子たちがコーチを依頼に来る。志ん魚はその中の一人、由美に心を寄せる。純な志ん魚は由美のことをエリザベスに告白するが「バレなければいいじゃない」と気にしない。志ん魚は割りきれないまま、エリザベス、由美とデートを続けた。その頃、志ん米の真打ち昇進が決まった。先輩の昇進を喜ぶと同時に、取り残されたような気持の志ん魚は、エリザベスの部屋を訪ねた。彼女は雄琴に行くと荷作りをしていた。寂しさをこらえて手伝う志ん魚。志ん米の真打ち昇進パーティの日、志ん魚と仲間は将来の夢を語り合うのだった。。
