该剧改编自在凑佳苗于2019年创作的同名推理小说，讲述新锐电影导演长谷部香（北川景子饰）向新人编剧甲斐真寻（吉冈里帆饰）进行电影剧本的咨询。其根源是15年前，家里蹲的男性在自家刺死了高中生妹妹后，纵火致父母死亡的“笹塚町全家被杀事件”。。Nahuel lives with his father in a fishing town, yet he has a deep fear of the sea. One day, he finds a magical book that seems to be the solution to this problem, but a dark sorcerer is after it and captures Nahuel's father. This is where his journey to rescue his father and overcome his fears begins。
