While waiting at a train station, Nikki Collins witnesses a murder from a nearby building. When she brings the police to the scene of the crime, they think she's crazy since there's no body. She then enlists a popular mystery writer to help with her sleuthing 猴子到此一游。一位北韓女子因病尋醫，在非自願的情況下，輾轉來到了南韓。她朝思暮想著在平壤的家人，但返回家鄉的期盼，卻在一次次的抗爭、訴訟與向使館求助中落空。日子一年年過去，她甚至見證了南北韓領袖握手破冰的歷史一刻。她不是所謂的「脫北者」，但南北韓間的政治情勢卻讓她回不了家。。
