The show started as a short pilot on a YouTube channel owned by Olan Rogers who became popular for his story telling.。一年一度的春节即将到来，人们都陷入了一片欢快的节庆气氛之中。孤身一人在外的光头强（谭笑 配音）也想回家过年，只是李老板（张伟 配音）还拖欠着他的工资，光头强还期盼着能够用这笔钱给在老家的父母置办一点年货。最终，光头强找到了一份护林员的工作，和动物们一起保护森林的安全。 可是，李老板似乎是诚心要给光头强找麻烦，他派出了伐木机器人来到光头强守护的树林里大肆开采。为了履行自己的职责，光头强和熊大（张伟 配音）、熊二（张秉君 配音）、毛毛（孙尧东 配音）、涂涂（万丹青 配音）等可爱的动物们一起和李老板抗争到底。。
