The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。广东省公安厅女刑警杨向东在深圳缉查香港黑帮时，缴获巨额假人民币。据分析，这些假币来自菲律宾，是用来购买毒品的。杨向东奉命伪装成到菲律宾投亲的中国女孩，被海关查出携毒关进监狱，得以接近涉嫌贩毒的小祺。向东设法携小祺越狱，并找到小祺的男友黑帮成员张阳，从而打入黑帮内部。 在菲律宾警官的帮助配合下，向东和香港卧底警察小李几经考验，终于见到了黑帮真正的老大，并查清了黑帮印制假人民币的大本营。在执行接货任务中，向东和小李的身份暴露，小李身上的窃听器失灵，危急关头，他们视死如归，与群匪展开一场殊死搏斗。。
