乌森之地有着不可思议吸引妖怪的力量，凡是接近那儿的妖怪，都会得到强大的力量而急剧进化、变强。年幼时，因为良守同情一只妖怪，而使它产生变化，就在千钧一发之际，时音救了他，却也因此受了严重的伤。良守非常自责，下定决心要变的更强，保护时音。。少年味吉洋一继承了亡父遗留下来的「日之出」食堂，他虽仍是个小孩, 但是他对烹饪有浓厚的兴趣，在机缘巧合下他认识了厨师协会的统帅，人称「味皇」的村田源二郎，更被味皇选中担任味皇料理某部门的主任,因此他不得不接受各人各项的美味比赛……。Temperatures are rising and crowds of people are spending their time at lakes like thirsty animals.
