『ハーバーライト物語（ストーリー）〜ファッションララより〜』は、『魔法のデザイナーファッションララ』をOVA化した作品で、1988年3月11日にビデオ、5月21日にLDがそれぞれ発売された。物語は大幅に変更されており、苛められっ子の少女ミホが、本の中から飛び出した妖精ピグとモグの力で、一晩限りの大人の姿に変身するという、童話の『シンデレラ』を彷彿させる物語となっている。 ある港町で、町の少女たちの中からダンスクイーンを決めるディスコダンスフェスティバルが企画されていた。主人公ミホは、ファッションデザイナーに憧れ、いろいろなデザインのドレスを作ることを夢見ている。そして今回のダンスクイーンコンテストに従姉（いとこ）の一人シュリが自分のデザインしたドレスを着て出場することになってミホは大喜び。ところが市長の息子である不良少年キッドが現れ、フェスティバルを...。On the same day Abbey is diagnosed with ovarian cancer, she and her girlfriend, Miranda, are invited to dinner by Miranda's former self-help group to celebrate the return of their estranged friend, Scott, who left to discover the origins of their practices.
