本次颁奖典礼的主题为“K-POP世界公民”并在这两天的场次也设立其主题，分别是第一天的“The world we build together”以及第二天的“We are K-POP”；此外，本次典礼是更名以来首届，更是节目史上第24次举行的颁奖典礼。。“Escort Boys” is loosely based on the Israeli series “Johnny and the Knights of the Galilee,” produced by YES Studios, and by created by Dani Rosenberg and Tom Shoval. It follows four young men, driven by their respective troubles and torment, who decide to sell their bodies for sex.。
